January at the Adolphus has a particular quality. The winter light comes through the tall windows differently — cooler, bluer, with longer shadows. It's flattering in a way that summer light isn't, and it gave Meredith and Greg's film a palette that felt intentional even when it wasn't.
Greg was composed all day until the ceremony. Then he wasn't, which was exactly right. Meredith was steady throughout, which told you everything about their dynamic.
The ballroom looked the way the Adolphus always makes it look: impeccable. The dancing went late. The winter air outside made the warmth inside feel like something earned.
